I could write glowing positive words about Affiliated Women International; but they would be the words of an executive. You would expectHAPPY CROWD 3 me to say glowing things; to lay out all the reasons women should be part of a very unique organization.

But the best thing to share comes from a woman for whom AWI has made a dramatic difference – in fact still does.  Her words state very simply AWI’s passionate desire to see every woman have the opportunity to fulfill her divine destiny and unique purpose. To become the woman she’s designed to be.

For eons men have had that opportunity; now women have it too.  AWI is at the forefront of a movement sweeping the globe, recognizing the talent, skills and abilities women bring to the world. To the marketplace; the corporate world – to the best that life can be!  So please read on to learn first-hand how Affiliated Women can make a difference in your life as well!

VickiPortrait3 (2)The Affiliated Women International (AWI) Difference for me …

I attended my first AWI Face-to-Face meeting in November, 2009 during a very “transitional” period in my life.  I had recently recovered from some pretty life-threatening medical problems.  I had emerged with quite a new outlook on life that in turn, affected my approach to business.  The “new me” was struggling with how to define myself in business, focus and priority.

I was blessed to find AWI!  Through the warmth of the women I met in AWI and the relationship building / ConnectWorking model I was able to build my confidence and learn a new approach to business and become a  better ME.

From AWI leadership I learned how NOT to lead with a business card and “elevator-pitch” and avoid the dreaded cold-call.  This approach is the AWI difference.

I give credit to what I learned at AWI for my current business success!

I was given an opportunity to interview for my “dream job” in October, 2010.  I took the skills I have learned through my involvement with AWI into the interview process and was offered the position over some very stiff competition.  The “Skills” involved confidence, AUTHENICITY, and willingness to share my true self through the interview process (rather than tell them what I thought they wanted to hear).  I have since been told that those very “differences” convinced my employer that I would be the best FIT for the company.  This is the AWI difference!

I have since been able to implement several AWI approaches into my company’s marketing business model with unbelievable success – much to the surprise of several nay-sayers.  We brought the “small group process” and relationship building concepts to our sales efforts.  I have introduced a monthly customer presentation, for up to 6 to 10 customers (many times direct competitors), to educate and build camaraderie amongst the attendees.  The results have been amazing!  These supposed competitors share challenges and successes and have formed alliances in the time they share with us.

Plus, my company has enjoyed an average 15% growth in sales and long-term business retention for ALL customers that have attended.  This too, is the AWI difference!

Everything I learned through AWI has not only made me a better person (wife and mother), but a better business woman.  I am proud of the woman I have become, due to the personal and professional growth thanks to AWI.

Warmly,
